It is the breadth and unruliness of the landscape not the intricate fussiness I am after. My intention is a wide-ranging observation of the bony grit of the unravelling landscape. As the land unfolds, it crunches slightly then unfolds again on and on. There is an ancient persistent thrum linked to the swathe of the landscape, continuous not itemized and separate but endless. Feathery dust smeared blinks; these are far removed from the cool green snaps shots of the daily observed tropics. The partitioning of the land comes with each movement of the eye, captured then traced to the next flicker. This filmic untying of the drape of the landscape, loosens and unwinds the boundless cadence of the landscape.
